Holy Vale is a very special place on St. Mary&#8217;s in the Isles of Scilly. It is right in the centre of the island, and although the sea only a mile or so away it is about as far away as it gets, and it is, of course, only a matter of time \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I wanted to simplify the music a bit and add a few words, without completely reinventing it so it has kept the mandolin and recorder feel. The percussion sounds are quite different to the original.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the elm trees and the ivy<br>The silence pulls me down to the earth<br>Down to the roots<br>The sound of water, water falling from the leaves down to the earth<br>But the seagull overhead, she reminds me that time<br>Time will bring the sea<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a reworking of a song that appears on the Music from Holy Vale CD.
